Devilishly simple NOT!!!!!

If you accept our offer just reply to this email. So I replied saying that I accept your offer but 2 months on and I'm still being debited twenty five quid when it should be fourteen.

So what's this all about, it's about my ISP Demon bloody Internet.

About 2 months ago I had a bit of junk mail through my letterbox from BT who seem to be offering the service I had from Demon for 13 quid, so I call Demon.

I'ld been on their website and couldn't find my package, every deal looked cheaper than the one I had. They said they would get someone to call me, which they did because I threatened to change companies.

This sales woman comes on the phone and says that they have a new loyalty deal for people like me who have been with them a long time, in my case over twelve years. They can give me the same deal for eleven pounds cheaper. Oh brill I say, how do I get this new deal. "We'll send you and email, just reply to it and that's all you have to do to start the new deal"

So I get the email, and I reply saying I accept but I also add a small tirade about how I was never informed about this new deal and etc. etc.

Well the next billing period comes round and I'm debited 25 pounds again, so I'm on the phone to customer service. They say they never received my email, but it's in my sent mail so what's going on. Oh you should have just replied YES. But it didn't say that in your email. Please try resending it, OK I say and resend.

This month I'm debited £25 AGAIN.

I phone again,    "we didn't get your email",  Well I defiantly sent it it's in my sent mail box, and didn't bounce back. "Can you try sending it again"  I send it again. Next day I phone and no they don't have my email. Can you try sending it to another of our addresses.

I send it yet again, saying this time just YES. Next day, I phone. Did you get my email. "No" she says. All this time I've been dealing with some one in India. Now don't get me wrong I love Indians, some of my best friends are Indian, but it's not easy talking to a call centre in Mumbia when stuff is not working.

Can you send it to business@ demon.net.  OK one more time. Next day I log on to my mail to find that this mail has been unable to be delivered. SHIT.

So I go to the original offer email and find another number at the bottom of the letter, I call and get a Scottish voice on the phone who says he can sort it al  right there and then. Great, so after two months and countles calls I'm now supposedly on the new tarrif, but tomorrow I'll be writing to their head office with some curt words to say about their service and hoping to get reimbursed for the grief and cost of all this aggravation.

Bloody technology, bloody internet, bloody call centres, it's enough to drive a man crazy.

Busy time at Ford Park

Hello out in blog land, funny how blogger doesn't recognise blog or blogger as a proper word, don't you think.

Any way what's happening.

Well lets see, I suppose the main thing that's going on in my little sphere of the planet is the massive changes that are going on in Ford Park with the project that is the coach house renovation. The place is undergoing a massive transformation with diggers and dumper trucks flying backwards and forwards creating mountains of earth and stone being dumped on the fields of Ford Park. The contractors have torn the old roof timbers off and replaced main and hip beams, they're the beams on the corners, as the old roof was pretty much rotten. Not something which we had planned for, so a bit of a hit on the contingencies. They've dug out a massive hole where the new extension will be, and this week they laid in the new drains and poured concrete for the foundations. Yesterday they had marked out the walls so we cant be far away from seeing the first bricks being laid. The old coach house itself, looks like a derelict building with walls ripped out but in a week or two we'll probably be seeing this taking shape as well. All very exciting stuff after 12 years of trying to make something happen, it all happens at once. New car park, with grass-crete finish, and in June we'll be seeing a new natural play area being sculptured at the top of the fields, using the spoil from the excavations around the coach house. Yep, a busy time at Ford Park.
