Drunk kids on Friday night at Ford Park

You know they can really piss you off, those wonderful young things that are the future of our tiny town.
I had spent 3 days collecting stones to lay along the drive at Ford Park. The idea was to try to deter car drivers from using the field as an advanced skid pan. It's very soggy at the moment, plus w've just planted 10'000 bulbs which we were being protective of. So as a deterent to this temptation we decided to lay out some stones to keep drivers off the fields.
I went up there at 8pm on friday night and all was well, but when I came down the drive at 8.20pm all the stones from one side had been thrown to the other side of the drive. There was a bunch of kids in the woods that I figured must have seen what had happened or they were responsible for this act of mindless vandelism. So I turned my car around and went to confront this bunch of reprobates, who of course denied any knowledge of the evnt.IT WASN'T ME.
Clearly this bunch must have seen who did this, or maybe they were the culprits, it certainly would have required quite a few bodies to shift 150 stones that quickly.
What kind of a kick they get from this is beyond me, but it makes me feel hostile to kids coming to drink in the park. I don't mind picking up the bottles and cans, I suppose the litter ethic is lost on a teenage drinker, but to carry out minor acts of vandelism like this makes me mad. I just want to give up and forget the whole project, because the park will always attract these teenagers, and we'll always have to put up with this low level of nuisance.
So I just swallow and count to ten. I get abuse from the kids, well the drunk ones, but there's some who appreciate what we are about at Ford Park. So today Sunday 23rd of November I spent a half an hour late this afternoon putting the rocks back in place, lets see how long it lasts, and like they said on the war time poster, KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON>
