So I'm back

I've been back in Ulverston for two weeks after our annual holiday in the dominican republic and I am beginning to get used to the idea of being here and not there. This time we we're gone for four weeks, which was a splendid amount of time to be gone, but it's also enough time to make you become very disconnected with home. You know how it goes, you start to thinking how you could make a crust in your holiday place, and make all sorts of fantasy plans that will aid you in getting on the next plane out. Give up your house and home for a place in the sun. But as the weeks turn into months you find yourself grounded back  in your old back yard and vow to decorate the back room, and knock down that old outside loo and build a new little garage.
Since being home I've been to a meeting of the newly vamped MTI now a souped up 2000+, I've been to one council meeting where the main topic was 27 princess st, and I've been to the carnival committtee meet. Oh and a meeting with Emma of lantern house to discuss a music video project for bands from tthe coach house that nobody came to. But best of all I found that our band the beat combo had a lovely review for our album on itunes. Oh and I did a gig, our 2nd, with the Razzcats a cool reggae outfit that's playing Gig in the Garden on May 4th. The gig was at Dickie doodles 24 hours into being back, I thought we was fab, so look out for us on the 4th. So it's been quite a busy home coming but it's only now that I'm feeling like I'm back.
