Little Grey Cross

I know it's all been going down hill for Gordon the big engine just lately, but this morning I caught his speech to the UK Citizens group on Facebook. http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fbit.ly%2Fa69xko&h=96316.

Now if only we had had this passion a few weeks ago then things might have taken a different turn. And who knows, maybe if enough people could see this maybe Labour would be back in No 10 on Friday.

Last night I put together a quick video with a song I wrote on the day after the general election of 1997. I just pulled together some images from google to illustrate the song. It's about how we banished the Tories to the last 13 years in the wilderness. Thinking we had rid of them forever it comes with a large degree of sadness to see them teetering on the brink of power again.

If you want to be reminded of how we all felt on the 2nd of May 1997 then take a look at my contribution to the Labour campaign of 2010. The song is called Little Grey Cross, and is really about how important it is to get down to the polling station and place your mark on the ballot paper.

  1. Enjoyed the song.

    Lovely voice.

'Fraid the Tories are back - for a short spell I suspect.

    But who after them?

    Well I'm off to vote

    - Liberal this time.

Hopefully with P.R. it will be Green next time!

  2. Colin, I have voted let's hope for a good turn out. Novel idea with the song.

Have you thought about joining www.ulverstonbusinessalliance.ning.com to get the dialogue going with local businesses. Understanding of council matters is important for businesses who need a supportive infrastructure.
