Shift that snow

So much snow in such a short time, they didn't forecast that did they.

I've just been out and cleaned the snow from our pavement. Why don't we all do that anymore?

When I was a kid my dad and all our neighbours would be out there and clear the snow from their front and bingo we had a complete snow free pavements.

Lets try to revive that tradition, I'm not a fan of the big society but on this one I think we should join together.

Get your brush and shovels brothers and sisters and shift that snow.

  1. Agreed - we're with you on this one - as you will no doubt know.

    Our network nearly reaches you.

Time to get out and do the whole street and remind others how it used to be done!

It will be difficult now that the snow has been compressed and has most likely turned to ice - but you may find some snow to sweep that will provide a path through.

  2. Check my blog at http://geoffdellow.blogspot.com/2010/12/snow-heroes-in-other-parts-of-ulverston.html

To see what I thought of your streets.

Not much cleaning of the next door's bit of pavement on your street Cllr Col - could do better!

Now look over the road at Star St - wow - as I remark on my video !

Marks out of ten - 7 maybe depending on which house is yours!

How about aiming for a 10 next time or you could redeem yourself and get 11 - yes 11 for extra Brownie Points if you did the whole pavement of your side of the street.

That indeed would a task worthy of a Snow Hero - You can have my White Charger for a week for that.

Eleven out of ten AND a White Charger - How can you resist?

Now Ruth of 9 Stanley street nearly did the whole block with her little girl ( as seen on my video) - now she's a real no nonsense worker and Mill Dam Park is much the better for it - Just wait for all those crocusses, Daffs and Red Tulips in the spring.
