Good to be gigging again

It's been so long since I did a gig, and I miss it like crazy, so it was great to get out the old bass guitar and boogie on down with The Good old Boys Blues band at the Coot last night. We played for a oy poloy wedding and with a five piece brass section to back up our back line. We had three rehearsals to pin down the set that they had last played 2 years ago at the same venue. We hadto play rather quietly because they have one of those infernal machines that turn off the power if your too loud. As it was we didn't turn it off till the last but one number. I re;;y enjoyed the gig, as did the wedding audience, I just hope it isn't another two years tilll we do the next one.
